Swimco Employee Training
All Swimco Pool Management lifeguards are trained to prevent aquatic injuries and to react to all emergencies. In addition, all lifeguards are required to participate in regular in-house service training so they are able to keep their skills current. Our instructors are certified to train our employees in American Red Cross Lifeguard Training. Swimco is also an Authorized Provider for Lifeguard Training in all local jurisdictions.
All Swimco Pool Management employees are fully trained and certified in CPR according to your county’s Health Department requirements. All of our personnel are trained in the following CPR certifications: Adult CPR, Infant and Child CPR, Community CPR, Community First Aid and Safety and CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
All Swimco Pool Management employees are fully trained and certified in First Aid skills according to your county’s Health Department requirements. At Swimco Pool Management, we are committed to following and enforcing all of the rules and regulations that are set forth by OSHA pertaining to the swimming pool industry. All of our employees are trained according to OSHA standards. Our training includes the employers rights and responsibilities when dealing with hazardous chemicals. This training includes all required "Employee Right to Know" topics. We go into detail on procedures for handling first aid incidents and the regulations and safety requirements for dealing with Blood Borne Pathogens.
Swimco Pool Management has been educating and certifying lifeguards in Pool Operator courses since our company began. We have also been teaching the Pool Operators course at George Washington University since 1976. We are proud that the State of Maryland in 1996 approved our course and materials for use throughout Maryland. The pool operators course is comprised of facility safety, pool physical characteristics, filtration, water balance, disinfection, pool chemistry, and water testing.
